The State of Texas and their present water difficulties are heavy on our minds and thoughts as a public water provider. To our customers: The MSUD Water Treatment Plant operates 24 hours a day treating, pumping, and monitoring the water system, but especially during this extreme cold. In 2019 Emergency Generators were installed for water treatment and delivery operations to continue in the event of a power outage. MSUD Distribution Crews have been able to repair main breaks and maintain water availability for fire protection and drinking water use in our service area. Some main breaks and service disruptions are to be expected during these extreme weather events.
