Barge completed a design to convert MSUD’s existing gas chlorination system to a new liquid hypochlorite system. The innovative design approach utilized former storage space atop the facility’s clearwell. The new system consists of high-density crosslinked polyethylene bulk storage tanks with flow-paced peristatic dosing pumps, a secondary containment structure for spill control, as well as a truck loading station to expedite off-loading of hypochlorite.
